BLACK
HOLES
When stars start to die, they collapse. Eventually they can create
'White Dwarf' or a 'Neutron Star'. If they completely collapse
and become almost infinitely dense, their gravity increases a
respective amount. As the gravity increases you can imagine that
everything gets heavy. You couldn't jump and eventually gas molecules
would be pulled to the surface of the star. Nothing could escape
the star's gravity. Well imagine a dead star with a gravity so
strong that light can't even escape. When light can't get out
you then have a black hole.
One of the most interesting things in the Universe is the black
hole. Black holes have a gravity so strong that even light is
sucked into the center. |
