Jean Jabbour, The priest painter and musician.


Born on 14 Mars 1958 in Lebanon in a village named Bejjé-Jbeil.

He began his elementary studies in his village and completed them in the schools of the Lebanese Maronite Order.
He completed his university studies at the University of St Kaslik Spirit with a Bachelor of Theology in 1984.
He was ordered priest in 1984 in the Lebanese Maronite Order.
He studied artistic painting with the famous Lebanese artist Joseph Matar.


He completed a diploma of music especially with the Eastern instrument (Oud) at the University of Holy Spirit-Kaslik, where he studied with the famous Marcel Khalifé.
Graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome 1991.
Graduated in Frescos from Rome 1991.
Graduated in Icons from Meudon - Paris 1990.
Superior of the two Monasteries "Notre-Dame" of Mayfouk and Kattara since 1992.
Superior of the Monasteries St. Sarkis and Backos-Kartaba- Jbeil- 1995-1999.
He taught Musicology and Painting in the Monasteries of "Notre-Dame" of Mayfouk and U.S.E.Kaslik.
Lebanese Member of the association of the Artist-Painters and Sculptors and the Cultural consultancy in Jbeil.
