Renaissance (B1400 – 1600)

The Christian story began to be told in art, from a more human point of view. Humans began to realise that they, and not so much God, were important. This rebirth (or renaissance) was seen in art and the human figure began to be more lifelike. Space became more real. The Christian story continued to be told but the themes behind paintings began to reflect the lives of people more.
