| By using ordinary objects as
the subject matter, realism can bring awareness to the unique
characteristics of light that normally goes unnoticed. This drawing of an
artist’s equipment is actually a study of how light is refracted when it
passes through glass and water. The resulting distortions and reflections
become the essence of the subject. A step-by-step demonstration of this
drawing is included in my new book "Drawing Realistic Textures in
Pencil" published by North Light books. |
