St. Terence is one of the early bishops of the Church, he served as head of the Christian community of Iconium in the 1st century; suffered martyrdom. Some modem scholars think that he might be identified with the Tertius mentioned by St. Paul in his Letter to the Romans. His feastday is June 21.
