Bose, Jagadis Chunder (1858-1937)

Indian physicist and plant physiologist. He was professor of physical science at Calcutta 1885-1915, and studied the growth and minute movements of plants and their reaction to electrical stimuli. He founded the Bose Research Institute, Calcutta.
