Cot, Pierre-Auguste (1837 - 1883)

Born at Bédarieux (Hérault), February 17th 1837. A pupil of Duret and of Léon Cogniet. He painted mythological subjects, and also enjoyed a considerable reputatation for his portraits. Died July 1883.
