In
the early 1970's, Brazilian drummer Airto Moreira performed with the popular
jazz-rock group Weather Report, infusing the group with a more Latin sound.
Moreira later joined another Latin-influence musician, pianist and composer
Chick Corea, in the debut of Corea's trendsetting band, Return to Forever.
