Patterson, Simon
I started messing about with MODs and more specifically Impulse Tracker, trying to mimic people like the prodigy and orbital. I started to get into big beat - straying from DnB. Listening to Wall of Sound, John Carter, Dub Pistols etc.. In about 1996 I bought my first keyboard - A Korg X5D. Which I still use today. I got a copy of Cakewalk and was away! Slowly I built up my collection of both hardware and more recently software. When nu-school breaks started to spring up I was amazed, it was the first thing I had really liked since the Cartoon rave of '91! TCR, Marine Parade and the other founders were a big inspritaion and production started to tend towards the Nu-School way. In July of 2000, I did some music for a bunch of Graphic Designers and Web Designers, the first public showing of my music. Then in 2001 I won (along with 3 others) the Red Pill remix competition. I am presently working on a follow up to this and will keep you all in touch!
