Anthophytes, commonly called the flowering plants, are the largest, most diverse group of plants living on Earth. They are only about 130 million years old, yet make up over 75% of the plant kingdom. Anthophytes produce seeds enclosed in a friut. This division has two classes, the monocotyledons and dicotyledons.
