Shin-dake, Kuchinoerabujima Island, Japan
August 27, 1999- On 26 August, volcano warnings were issued
for Shin-dake Volcano located on Kuchinoerabujima Island. The Volcano
is showing signs of increased activity. No evacuations were ordered,
but the residents are cautioned to remain alert for any changes.
