Telica Volcano, Nicaragua
August 13, 1999
- On 11 August, the Telica Volcano spewed
hot ash and rocks which blanketed nearby villages with ash. Ash clouds
ascended 300-400 m above the volcano.
- August 12, 1999
- On 10 August, there was a strong seismic
tremor at the Telica Volcano. Gases and ash were expelled. There were
no reports of damage or a need for an evacuation plan at this time.
- June 7, 1999
- The Telica Volcano released a plume of
smoke over the weekend, and the surrounding area received a blanket
of ash. Evacuation preparations are in place should the volcano erupt.

- May 23, 1999
- Telica Volcano in Nicaragua released
a plume of ash 550 meters (1,650 feet). Warnings of an imminent eruption
within the next few days have been issued.
