Gibbons (Family: Hylobatidae) are a small hominoids, widely distributed throughout Southeast Asia. They are exclusively arboreal and they are highly specialized for brachiation, skillfully swinging through the trees from branch to branch. They live in very small exclusive groups focused on a male-female pair who permanently bond for life and jealously protect their territorial range from neighbouring pairs.
