Pre-Raphelite Brotherhood (1848 - 1856)

A group of English artists who were interested in early Italian art. Their pictures frequently featured literary, religious scenes which had a moral message. They were often a comment on social behaviour and personal relationships. Burne-Jones, Hunt, Millais, Rosetti.
