Wavelength is calculated using:

Wavelength = (c)/(f) 

where c is the sound speed and f the frequency. Higher frequencies have shorter wavelengths. 
 
 

For tissue, use:

Wavelength (in mm) = 1.5/F

where F is the frequency expressed in MHz. Use this equation to verify the values in the following table:
