Bony Fish have
true bones. They cover a wide range of both marine and freshwater fish.
Because there are so many different kinds, I will only be able to show you
some pictures of a few of them. The fish (yes, it is a fish!) to the left
is, of course, a Seahorse. Seahorses have a different type of reproduction
than most fish. The male carries the eggs and raises them instead of the
female. Seahorses are related to Pipefish.
The fish
to the right is a deep-sea fish. It lives in very deep water where
there is very little light; therefore, it has to produce its own light,
which is what the stalk on the top of its head is for.
