Mount Peuet Sague, Indonesia

Mount Peuet Sague is a complex volcano found in the province of Aceh, the northernmost province in Indonesia. It has had only one historical eruption, which began in 1918 and ended in 1921.

April 27, 1998

Peuet Sague erupted ash up to 1.8 miles (3 km) into the air on April 26. Another eruption of the volcano had occurred on April 19, but thick smoke from forest fires prevented observation of this eruption.
